How to Loop a YouTube Video — Whole Video or a Section

Choose the loop by what you need to repeat. A whole-video loop is useful for playing a recording again from the beginning. A section loop lets you revisit one explanation or passage without restarting the rest.
Repeat the whole video in YouTube
- Computer: right-click the video player and select Loop. Select it again to turn looping off.
- Android app: open the video, tap Settings, then Additional settings, then Loop video.
- TV or console: while playing, press down on the remote or controller and choose Repeat for the currently playing video. The Repeat control is also available through Settings.
These steps follow YouTube’s loop instructions. Menu names and availability can vary by device or app version.
Repeat one section with IN and OUT
- Open the section looper and load a YouTube watch URL, short link or embed URL.
- Move to the beginning of the passage and press IN. Move to its end and press OUT. The end must follow the start.
- Press Loop. Use the available speed menu if you want slower playback, or Clear to reset the selection.
Try a ten-second section
For a quick trial, use the example below. Seek to 0:05, press IN, seek to 0:15, press OUT, then Loop. Alternatively, a quick-loop button selects the next 5, 10, 15 or 30 seconds from the current position, up to the end of the video.
Example video: “Me at the zoo”. This player repeats your selection; it does not save it.

Keep the practice task small
Pick a passage with a clear beginning and ending. Listen once, repeat it at a comfortable speed, then try the transition to the next passage. If you need to return later, note the start and end times and save them in your Klipse library after creating an account.
Keep the page active while looping. The original YouTube player controls availability, playback timing and advertising. This is not a frame-accurate editor, and it cannot recover a removed or private video. See YouTube’s player API and embedded-video advertising help for those limits.

Can I loop only part of a YouTube video?
Use the section looper: move to the beginning, press IN, move to the end, press OUT, then press Loop. YouTube’s built-in video loop repeats the whole video.
What should I do if the loop stops or the video will not play?
Keep the page active, check the connection and try the original video on YouTube. Restrictions, ads and player timing can affect playback. A removed or private video cannot be recovered by looping it.
